Warriors Sprint Past Racers in Five

LIMA, Ohio - The Indiana Tech women's volleyball completed a season sweep over University of Northwestern Ohio with a 3-2 road win Wednesday night. The five-set thriller moved the Warriors to 21-2 on the season, 9-2 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, to remain in touching distance of 11-0 Cornerstone at the top of the league standings.

UNOH pushed the pace in the early going, knocking off Tech 25-23 in the opening set, before forcing the Warriors in to extra points in set two - a 30-28 Warrior win. The hosts won a touch set three 27-25, before the Orange and Black flipped the match with a dominating 25-13 performance in game four. That momentum carried in to the rubber set, as IT claimed victory with a 15-10 decision for its sixth five-set win of the season.

Noelle Van Oort put in an impressive all-around performance with 16 kills, six blocks, and 14 digs. Emma Westra matched VanOort with 16 kills, followed by Taylor Sorg's 11. Andrea Schriver and Kelsey Schaldenbrand set the table with 26 and 21 assists, respectively.

The Warriors return home for three matches this coming weekend. Madonna visits the Schaefer Center at 7 PM Friday ahead of a tri-match in the facility on Saturday. The Warriors take on WHAC foe UM-Dearborn at 1 PM and complete the week with a non-league clash against Goshen College at 5 PM. GC and UMD play a neutral site match at 3 PM.
