ADRIAN, Mich. – The men's soccer team traveled to Adrian, Michigan, on Saturday to take on WHAC opponent Siena Heights University winning 2-0 in the contest. With the win, the Warriors move to 8-1-4 on the season and are 6-0-1 in the WHAC.
The Warriors found the score sheet early, with both goals coming before the half-time whistle.
Douglas Appiah found the net again, scoring in the 20
th minute by beating his defender and finding the bottom right corner. Tech's second goal was from
Ryan Steele in the 34
th minute with an assist from
Brendan Sidaway. Both teams recorded eleven shots in the contest, 5-4 on target in favor of the Warriors. Tech played the final twenty-five minutes with ten men after
Adam Lazarowicz picked up a red card in the 65
th minute.
Jaume Salvado recorded four saves in the ninety minutes to earn his sixth shutout.
Tech travels to Cleary on Wednesday, October 19, to take on Cleary University. The Warriors are 2-0-1 in the series with the Cougars. The most recent matchup between the two schools was on March 2, 2021. The Warriors won with a 2-0 final score in that meeting.
