FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The women's volleyball team hosted the Wolverines of the University of Michigan-Dearborn at the Schaefer Center on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors entered the day looking for a bounce-back win, which was precisely what they found, defeating the Wolverines 3-1. After a slow start, losing the first set 25-22, the Warriors found their footing, winning the following three sets with scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-23.
Tech finished the day out-attacking the Wolverines with an attacking percentage of .221 to .098 for UM-Dearborn.
Emma Westra led the Warrior attack with ten kills. Tech served up four aces as a team, with
Jacey Blust contributing half, with two.
Taylor Sorg and
Jacqueline Allaway recorded three blocks a piece.
Kelsey Schaldenbrand led Tech with assists posting twenty-two, while
Olivia Gessner posted twenty-three digs.
The Warriors are back on the court Wednesday, October 19, hosting Lourdes University in Schaefer. The Warriors are 11-10 in the series, with a 3-0 win on September 21 this year as the most recent meeting.
