GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The women's volleyball team traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for two WHAC competitions this weekend. The Friday night match was hosted by Aquinas College, where the Warriors fell to the Saints 1-3. The second weekend match was Saturday, hosted by #22 Cornerstone University. The Warriors dropped the match with a 0-3 final score.
The Warriors recorded fifty-one kills in the Aquinas match, with
Noelle VanOort leading the team with fourteen.
Taylor Paul and
Amelia Schultz both recorded eleven. The Warriors served four aces, with
Madison Mayes serving three of the four.
Andrea Schriver led the team with twenty-one assists. Havilyn Cumming led the team with five blocks, while
Andrea Schriver led the team with nine digs.
In the Cornerstone match, the Warriors recorded thirty-two kills, with
Noelle VanOort leading the team with nine.
Olivia Gessner served the only ace in the game for Tech, and Schriver led the team with eighteen assists.
Jacqueline Allaway recorded two blocks on the defensive side, and Schriver posted twelve digs.
Tech is back on the court Friday, October 28, in the Schaefer center, where they host Rochester University. The Warriors won the last matchup between the two schools 3-0 on October 1 this season.
