FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team took on the Warriors of Rochester University Friday night for a WHAC contest in the Schaefer Center. Tech won the first set and didn't look back as they swept the contest with scores of 29-27, 25-23, and 25-22. With tonight's result, Tech moves to 24-5 and 12-5 in the conference for the season.
The Orange and Black posted an attacking percentage of .223 to Rochester's .203.
Noelle VanOort led the Tech offense with 16 kills, followed closely by
Taylor Paul with 15. The Warriors served 5 aces, led by VanOort with 2.
Andrea Schriver recorded a team-high 22 assists. On the defensive side for Tech,
Jacey Blust recorded 24 digs leading the team, while Amelia Shultz was above the net for Tech's lone block.
Tech is back in the Schaefer Center tomorrow for Senior day and their last home regular season game. They host the Blue Devils from Lawrence Tech, starting at 1 PM. The Warriors are 12-9 against the Blue Devils, winning their meeting on September 30 this season, 3-1.
