Men’s Soccer Draw with UM-Dearborn 1-1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The men's soccer team hosted the University of Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines on Saturday, earning one point in the match as it ended a 1-1 draw. The result brings Tech to 9-1-5 on the season and 7-0-2 in the WHAC.
 
Jaume Castells Mas opened the scoring for the Warriors in the first half with a goal in the 34th minute with an assist from Warren Moss. The goal was one of Tech's four shots in the first half, and UM-Dearborn fired five in the first 45 minutes. The Wolverines found the equalizer just forty-nine seconds into the second half when Nicolas Pulcini found the net.
 
The Warriors recorded sixteen more shots in the second half. Tech outshot the Wolverines 20-8, with 10-4 shots on target. The Warriors were favored in corner kicks 8-3 over UM-Dearborn. Jaume Salvado played all ninety minutes in goal for the Warriors, recording three saves in the contest.
 
The Warriors host Madonna on Wednesday night for their last home game of the regular season. Tech is 10-13-2 in the Series with the Crusaders. The Warriors have won five in a row, with a 1-0 win in their last meeting.
