FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 8 ranked Indiana Tech men's hockey team swept the weekend series with Davenport University with final scores of 5-2 on Tech's home ice and 2-0 on the road, improving the Warrior's record to 3-1 on the young season.
The Warriors hosted the first contest on their home ice at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. Tech found the net five times on forty-three shots, while Davenport scored twice from their twenty-nine shots on goal. Scoring for the Warriors were

Riley Tucker played all 60 minutes in goal for Tech, recording twenty-seven saves on twenty-nine shots.
The second contest was on the road at Patterson Ice Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Warriors took thirty shots and found two goals in the third period to lift them past Davenport. The Panthers fired fifteen shots on goal but were unsuccessful in their attempts as
Ty Barnhill recorded fifteen saves allowing zero goals in sixty minutes.
Malik Ali scored the opening goal for the Warriors, with
Axel Low finding the net second with an assist from
Malik Ali.
Tech (3-1) retakes the ice Friday, October 18. They kick off their two-game series with Cleary University on the road in Howell, Michigan, at the 140 Ice Den. The Warriors are 11-0 in the series against Cleary, with a 9-3 win on December 4, 2021, their most recent result.
