FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The women's hockey team hosted the Lions of Lindenwood University for a two-game series this weekend in Fort Wayne on their home ice at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. Tech won both games against the lions with scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
 
The first game concluded with a final of 6-2, where the Warriors recorded 42 shots to the Lion's 27. 
Megan Yakiwchuk led the Warriors in scoring with four of their six, recording a hat trick in the third period, bringing her season total to six after the series' first game. 
Michelle Borland and Isobel Pettem-Shand both recorded one goal each for Tech. Tech finished with nine assists, coming from

Ashley Episcopo (2), and Isobel Pettem-Shand (2).
 
The second weekend meeting favored the Warriors. While firing 45 shots on goal, the Warriors found the net six times, while the lions recorded 27 shots finding the net three times for a final score of 6-3. Scoring for the Warriors were

The Warriors host Midland University on October 14 and 15 for their next series. Tech has faced off against Midland twice, standing 0-1-1 in the series. The most recent result was last season when they tied in overtime on September 25, 2021, with a final score of 1-1.
