LIVONIA, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Livonia, Michigan, for their first road game of the season and to take on the Crusaders of Madonna University in their second WHAC contest of the season. The Warriors picked up the win over the Crusaders with a 78-36 final score.
Tech was led in scoring by
Kyra Whitaker, who scored 16 points on 5-11 shooting and recorded 1 assist.
Erika Foy scored 12 points for the Warriors while grabbing a team-high 7 rebounds and adding 1 assist. Taylor Covington scored 8 points, grabbed 6 boards, and recorded 3 assists. Juliana Burris led the team in assists with 4, while
Genevieve Decker was a spark off the bench scoring 11 points and posting 3 rebounds.
Lauren Barton scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 8 minutes while shooting 4-4 from the field. The Warriors shot 53.4% from the floor and 68.8% at the charity stripe. The Warriors never trailed in the game.
Tech heads to Marion, Indiana, to play the Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan University on Tuesday, November 15. The Warriors look to pick up their first win over the Wildcats after falling in their last meeting 63-80.
