FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 8 ranked Indiana Tech men's hockey team took on WHAC opponent Rochester University in a two-game series over the weekend. Game one of the series was in Fort Wayne, where Tech took down Rochester with a 12-0 final score. Game two of the series was in Fraser, Michigan, where the Orange and Black defeated Rochester 11-0 to improve their record to 14-2 on the season and 11-1 in conference play.
 
The Orange and Black took it to Rochester in game one, scoring twelve goals to win 12-0. Avery Smith led the Warriors in scoring, netting three for a hat trick. Other Warriors finding the net were Matej Krasny (2), Alex Potter, Mitchell Forton, Alex Arnold, Fabian Granqvist, Cam Chabot, TJ Dougan, and Connor Funke. Tech recorded 19 assists on their 12 goals, coming from Cam Chabot (4), Aidan Dufort, Brandon Plummer (2), Alex Arnold (2), Fabian Granqvist (2), Matej Krasny, Luke Anderson (2), Mitchell Forton, Colton Nikiforuk (2), and Malik Ali (2). Riley Tucker played in goal for the Warriors facing 14 shots, saving all 14 to earn the shutout.
 
Tech scored five goals in the first period to help lift them past Rochester with an 11-0 final score. Fabian Granqvist led Tech in scoring, finding the net three times for a hat trick. Cam Chabot (2), Colton Nikiforuk (2), Wil Campbell, Malik Ali, Avery Smith, and Connor Funke also scored for Tech. The Warriors recorded 18 assists in the game, coming from Malik Ali (2), Pavel Svoboda, Mitchell Forton, Colton Nikiforuk (4), Wil Campbell, Matej Krasny (2), Cam Chabot (2), Avery Smith (2), Brandon Plummer, and Francesco Santaniello (2). Riley Tucker earned his second shutout of the weekend, saving the 7 shots he faced.
 
The Warriors retake the ice on December 2, when they travel to Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a two-game series. Both contests will be played on the road, with puck drop set for 7:30 PM Friday and 4:30 PM Saturday. Tech is 4-0 against the Knights, winning the most recent meeting 3-1.
