SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The No. 21 ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Southfield, Michigan, Saturday to take on the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils in a WHAC matchup. The Warriors outscored the Blue Devils in three of the four quarters to pick up the win with an 88-73 final score. Tech improves to 7-2 and 2-1 in the conference.
Tech was led by
Kyra Whitaker, scoring 29 points on 9-17 shooting while knocking down 4 threes and going 7-7 from the free throw line. She added 3 rebounds and 3 assists in the contest. Juliana Burris was 7-10 from the floor, scoring 15 points, 3 rebounds, and two assists. Taylor Covington scored 12 points for tech scoring all twelve from behind the three-point line going 4-4 while grabbing 3 rebounds and dishing out a team-high 6 assists.
Lauren Barton led the Warriors in rebounds, grabbing 7 in 19 minutes. The Warriors shot 52.6% from the field going 12-21 from three-point land.
The Warriors are back home on November 22, when they host Aquinas College in the Schaefer Center. Tech is 21-17 against the Saints, currently on a seven-game win streak, winning their last matchup 63-38.
