GARY, Ind. – The No. 14 ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Gary, Indiana, to take on the Indiana University Northwest RedHawks, where they were outlasted in overtime with a final score of 73-69 in favor of IU Northwest. The Warriors move to 11-3 on the season and remain 6-1 in conference play.
Kyra Whitaker led the Warriors in scoring with 15 points while adding 3 rebounds.
Juliana Burris added 14 points, 10 of which came from the free-throw line, while grabbing 4 rebounds.
Erika Foy recorded her second-straight double-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Taylor Covington contributed 12 points with 6 boards and a team-high 8 assists. Tech shot 38.6% from the field, going 7-24 from behind the three-point line.
Tech finished 2022 with a game on the road at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. The tip for that game is set for 1:00 PM. The Orange and Black are 6-10 against the Cougars, winning their previous two matchups, most recently 80-74 on October 30, 2021.
