FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 3 ranked Indiana Tech women's hockey team played a weekend series with the Lakers of Grand Valley State University. Game one favored the Warriors as they won 4-1 on their home ice. Game two of the series was on the road, with the Warriors sliding past the Lakers, winning 6-1. Tech moves to 15-3 on the season after the series.
Game one of the series was on Friday night in Fort Wayne at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. A busy second period featured all the game's scoring as Tech found the net four times and the Lakers once. Scoring for Tech were

Izzy Varner played all 60 minutes in the goal for the Warriors, where she faced 15 shots, saving 14.
Game two was Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the Warriors took it to the Lakers, coming out on top 6-1. Recording goals for Tech were

Tech is back in action next weekend when they take on Davenport in a two-game series. Game one is Friday, December 9, with the puck drop set for 3:30 PM. Game two will be on Saturday the 10
th, with puck drop set for 4 PM. Tech has won the previous two matchups against Davenport, winning the most recent game with a 12-0 final score.
