Tech continues their Streak with a Win over the Tigers

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The No. 14 Ranked Indiana Tech Warriors defeated the Olivet Nazarene Tigers on the road Wednesday night with a final score of 78-64. The Warriors traveled to Bourbonnais, Illinois, to compete with ONU, who participate in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Tech got off to a quick 6-0 start with three defensive stops in the game's opening minutes. The Warriors did not trail in the entire first half and led by as much as 22 points. Josh Kline led the first half in scoring for the Warriors with 11 points, while Max Perez contributed 8 points off the bench. Davison, Lehrman, and Smith all finished the half with 6 points each. Grant Smith also led the half with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
 
Critical components in the second half contributing to Tech's winning streak included Grant Smith's 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Davison, Kline, and Stein all finished the game with 12 points and a combined 19 rebounds. The Warrior bench also contributed 18 points to the win.
 
The Warriors finished shooting 51% from the field and 60% from the foul line. Team stats included 44 points in the paint, where the Warriors dominated from second-chance opportunities. The Warriors also had 11 steals and contributed 12 points off turnovers from the Tigers.
 
Indiana Tech now improves to 10-1 overall (WHAC 6-0) and looks to prepare for its next match-up in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference. The Warriors will continue their road stretch, taking on Rochester University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where they look to extend their undefeated reign in the WHAC Conference. Tip-off for the game will begin at 3 PM.
