GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech indoor track & field teams continued their dominance over conference foes at the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Indoor Championships this past weekend inside the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center on the campus of Aquinas College with the Warrior men winning their 10
th consecutive championship with 218 points while the Tech women won their third straight title and 11
th overall with a meet record 280.5 points.
The men's team had 35 individuals garner All-Conference honors (top three finish) while the women's program had 44 All-Conference performers.
Doug Edgar was named the WHAC Coach of the Year for both teams while
Coby Bailey, Juanita Webster-Freeman and
Lisa Voyles were all named Most Outstanding Performer, with Bailey setting a new meet record in the 60m (6.75) that is third in the NAIA while Webster-Freeman and Voyles have the best marks in the nation in the long jump and 1000m, respectively.
The Warriors now turn their attention to the 2022 NAIA Indoor National Championships which take place March 2-5 in Brookings, South Dakota.
