LAKELAND, Fla. – The Indiana Tech baseball team dropped a pair of contests to No. 17-ranked St. Thomas University, 17-7 and 7-1, at Tiger Town Tuesday afternoon.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the Warriors in the first before tacking on six runs in the third and fourth innings to make it a 15-0 game, with the hosts taking advantage of four Tech errors over those three frames.
Micah O'Donnell prevented the shutout with a single up the middle to score a pair of runners.
Mike Snyder put the Warriors ahead in the third inning of game two with an RBI single, but St. Thomas tied it up one inning later before going up 3-1 in the fifth following a double by Ezequiel Valdex that drove in two runners. The Bobcats took advantage in the sixth with four runs on three hits and an error to push the lead to 7-1 and completed the sweep.
