Warriors Make Quick Work of Gray Wolves in Monsoon

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team defeated Lourdes University 22-4 Wednesday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field in their penultimate game of the regular season.
 
Abby Barkdull led the way with seven goals, two assists and six ground balls while Faith Donally had five goals, three assists, seven ground balls, two caused turnovers and nine draw controls. Brooke Buhr had five assists, two goals, three ground balls, three draw controls and a caused turnover while Halli Reinhard had four draw controls, four ground balls, four caused turnovers, two goals and two assists. Sydney Oberdorfer made four saves in the cage to pick up the win.
 
Barkdull got the Warriors on the board with 12:06 left in the first quarter before making it a 2-0 game at the 11:47 mark. Donally got her first of the game with 10:47 on the clock before Barkdull added two more goals at the 10:29 and 10:16 marks to push the lead to 5-0 and force a timeout by the Gray Wolves.
 
Sarah Przyojski broke the run at the 8:05 mark with her first of two goals, but Tech came firing back with two goals in 38 seconds by Donally while Barkdull, Dani Macomber and Donllay all socred in the final 92 seconds of the quarter to push the lead to 11-1.
 
The onslaught continued into the second quarter as the rain fell in the Summit City, but the Warriors didn't allow the elements to control the game as they push the halftime lead to 15-3 before tacking on seven more goals in the final 30 minutes of the game.
 
Tech held Lourdes to just 10 total shots and only eight on goal while limiting their clears to just a 10-24 mark.
 
The Warriors return to action on Saturday as they host Concordia in their final game of the regular season while holding a half-game lead over the Cardinals for the fourth spot in the conference standings. Opening draw is set for 11 a.m. from Warrior Athletic Field
