LIMA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech baseball team swept conference-leading and No. 21-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio in their final games of the regular season Saturday afternoon at Racer Field, winning 8-1 and 5-2.
Tyler Stacy picked up the win in game one after going four innings on the hill with six strikeouts and allowing just one run on four hits.
Jayden Reed went 3-5 with a double and a run while
Brice Stultz and
Tristan Osika also recorded doubles.
Manuel Ascanio went 2-3 with two RBIs.
Zachary Zaborowski got the win in game two after 7.2 strong innings with eight strikeouts and allowing just seven hits and two runs while
Hayes Sturtsman picked up the save by going the final 1.1 innings and allowing just one hit.
Tyler Stahl had a triple while doing 2-3 with a run while
Jacob Daftari was 3-3 with three RBIs and a home run.
Tech finishes the regular season with a 31-19 record and 13-7 mark in conference games and will be the number five seed in the WHAC Tournament. The Warriors will head back to Lima for the UNOH pod where they will take on Concordia University at 9 a.m. on Thursday and play the Racers afterwards, depending on the outcome of the game with the Cardinals.
