UPLAND, Ind. – The Warriors women's soccer team went to Upland, Ind., Wednesday to face the Trojans of Taylor University in Turner Stadium. Tech faced a tough Taylor side in a 3-1 loss.
Taylor opened the game with an unassisted goal by Kiana Siefert in the 10
th minute of the match. The Trojans added another nearly ten minutes later in the 19
th minute, with Lauren Collins scoring as Chloe Sena assisted before Tech took one back in the 37
th minute of the first half. An unassisted goal by
Alina Garcia was Tech's lone shot of the first half.
Chloe Sena closed the scoring in the 86
th minute with an assist from Brooke Cimini.
The Warriors recorded three shots with 2 finding the target.
Sydney Lang played the entire match in goal posting 12 saves on the night.
Danielle Dunn and
Tayler Grunkemeyer recorded a shots. Both teams tallied six fouls.
Tech heads to Crestview Hills, Ky., for its next match, where it faces the Saints of Thomas More University on Saturday, September 17. This will be the first-ever matchup between these two programs. The Warriors look to pick up a road win to start the series in the win column.
