SYLVANIA, Ohio – The No. 11 ranked Indiana Tech men's basketball team traveled to Sylvania, Ohio, on Wednesday night to take on the Gray Wolves of Lourdes University. In a tough-fought battle, the Gray Wolves prevailed, squeaking past the Warriors with an 85-83 final score. Tech moves to 15-3 on the season and sits at 8-2 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.
Blake Davison led the Orange and Black in scoring, putting up 18 points on 8-13 shooting while grabbing 2 rebounds.
Josh Kline posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Grant Smith led the Warriors in assists with 5 while also scoring 11 points and bringing in 2 rebounds.
Rog Stein and
Jeremy Luciani both scored 9 points in the game, with Stein grabbing 7 rebounds and adding 2 assists while Luciani pulled down 3 boards and dished out 1 assist. Joey Holifield led all scorers with 30 points for the Gray Wolves.
Tech shot 48.6% from the field, knocking down 34 shots on 70 attempts while shooting 26.7 % from three-point land and 64.7% from the free-throw line.
Tech is back in action on Saturday as they host the Madonna University Crusaders in the Schaefer Center. The Warriors won the previous matchup between the two schools this season with an 84-71 final score on November 12, 2022.
