FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 14 ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team hosted Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Madonna University in the Schaefer Center on Saturday. The Orange and Black proved too much to handle for the Crusaders as they earned an 82-43 victory. Tech improves to 16-3 overall and 10-1 in conference play.
Tech shot 56.9% from the field while knocking down 7 threes on 16 attempts.
Genevieve Decker led the Warriors with 19 points on 8-9 shooting, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Erika Foy put up 18 points while grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists.
Kyra Whitaker recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Bethany Worm scored 10 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and contributed 9 assists.
Korryn Smith was a spark off the bench for Tech, scoring 11 points with 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
The Warriors host Lawrence Tech for their next game on January 21 in the Schaefer Center. The Orange and Black won the previous meeting with a final score of 88-73, leading the series all-time 17-5.
