NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Indiana Tech men's indoor track team split to compete in the Commodore Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Sean Brady Alumni Opener hosted by Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
At the Commodore Challenge, the Warriors had multiple runners finish in the top ten of their respective events.
Michael Warner recorded a 6.88 in the 60-meter dash to finish seventh in the event while also finishing sixth in the 200-meter with a time of 21.96.
Brice Taylor and
Michael Williams rounded out the top ten in the 200 with times of 22.27 and 22.36, respectively.
Javon Sanders finished ninth in the 300-meter, crossing the line in 35.40 seconds.
Miles Gray,
Eric Pullum, and Braden Crosby finished second, fourth, and sixth in the 400-meter with times of 49.09, 49.58, and 50.37.
Isaac Sytsma finished seventh in the 1000-meter for the Warriors with a final time of 2:35.30.
Ahumad Williams,
Javon Sanders, and Diego Skiyama-Nava finished 2, 4, 5 in the 60-meter hurdles. Williams finished with a time of 7.84, which was the second fastest mark in school history, while Sanders crossed the line in 8.14 seconds, and Sekiyama-Nava recorded a time of 8.19.
Miles Gray,
Eric Pullum, Braden Crosby, and
Michael Warner finished fourth in the 4x400 relay with a mark of 3:18.53. Followed closely by
Michael Williams,
Brice Taylor,
David Slick, and
Parrish Smith finished fifth with a 3:19.35.
In Angola, at Trine,
Noah Schultz finished first in Pole Vault with a mark of 4.35m.
Victor Rodriguez finished fifth, clearing 4.20m. Shomari Sommerville jumped 6.60m in the Long Jump to finish fourth in the event.
Mason Murphy finished fifth in the Shot Put with a mark of 14.61m.
