Foy Records Second Straight Double-Double in Win Over CU

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Erika Foy scored 17 points to go along with 11 boards to lead Indiana Tech to a 66-46 win at Cornerstone University Wednesday night. The double-double is Foy's second straight after her 20 and 15 performance from Jan. 21 against Lawrence Tech.

As it did Saturday, Tech broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the Golden Eagles 20-7 in that stanza. The second period dominance sent the Warriors into halftime with a 39-22 cushion. Tech managed the game from there, keeping CU at arm's length for the final 20 minutes. The win pushes the Warriors to 18-3 on the year, 12-1 in WHAC play ahead of Saturday's home game against UNOH.

Bethany Worm chipped in with 16 points and seven boards, while Taylor Covington scored 15. Foy strengthened her league player-of-the-year resume with five assists and two steals on the night, to go along with the aforementioned double-double effort.

Mackenzie Stein was the lone Golden Eagle in double figures with 12 points.

As mentioned earlier, UNOH visits the Schaefer Center for a 1 PM tip on Saturday, Jan. 28, where NAIA 12th-ranked Tech looks to extend its winning streak to eight and maintain at least a one-game lead over its conference rivals atop the WHAC standings. The Warriors, winners of the last 16 games against the Racers, including a 77-42 blowout in Lima, Ohio, January 4th, lead the all-time series 23-6.
