Decker Pours in Career High, Foy Hits Third-Straight Double-Double in Tech Romp

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Genevieve Decker's career-high 22 points and Erika Foy's third-consecutive double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) led Indiana Tech to a 70-50 win over UNOH, extending a season-long win streak to eight games. The victory improves the Orange & Black to 19-3 on the season and, more importantly, 13-1 in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Tech traded baskets with the Racers in the first period, holding a slim 13-9 lead but, as has become the recent trend, the hosts blew the game open with a big second quarter. Bethany Worm scored 10 of her 15 points in the second stanza, including two triples. As a team, the Warriors shot 68.4% from the floor and enjoyed a 43-20 halftime advantage.

The third period was marked by a series of turnovers each way, a handful of technical fouls, and poor shooting. The teams combined for only eight field goals in the period, largely due to 10 turnovers and eight personal fouls. Tech improved its shooting to 46% in the fourth, en route to the 20-point margin.

The Warriors return to the road for a 5:30 PM tip on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich. The Saints stole one from Tech at the Schaefer Center in November, Tech's lone WHAC loss of 2022-23.
