ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team traveled to Adrian, Michigan, to take on Siena Heights University, where the Saints relied on Sha'kyia Parker's inspired performance to beat the Warriors 63-57 at Siena Heights Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
Sha'kyia Parker led Siena Heights in the first half scoring 21 points in the period and helping The Saints to reach halftime with a 34-24 10-point lead. The Warriors came back stronger in the second half and won both the 3rd and 4th quarters, but the effort was not enough to take the lead after the advantage built by The Saints in the first half.
Erika Foy was the night's highlight for Indiana Tech, with 22 points (14 in the second half) and 9 rebounds.
Genevieve Decker posted 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Now, Indiana Tech (19-4) focuses on next Saturday, when the Warriors travel to play against Concordia University (14-9) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
