NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – The Indiana Tech women's hockey team traveled to Niagara Falls, New York, for a two-game series with Niagara University. After a 1-0 overtime win on Friday, the Warriors scored 7 on Saturday to win 7-3 and leave the Empire State with 2 wins. Tech remains perfect on the year as they move to 8-0-0.

On Friday, there was little that either team could do to separate from the other as they played the first three periods scoreless to force an overtime period. Allison Greene found the winner 4:39 into the overtime period off assists from Michelle Borland and Lauren Younker to give the Warriors a 1-0 win. Izzy Varner played all 64:39 in the net for the Orange and Black with 27 saves.

On Saturday, Tech found the net early with two goals from Genessie Williams and Allison Greene in the first period. Niagara pulled one back before the first intermission to go into the break with 2-1 on the scoreboard. The Warriors extended their lead in the second with goals from Dakota Bowler and Michelle Borland. Tech scored three more in the final period as Genessie Williams and Michelle Borland doubled their night's tally, and Sophie Kuzminski found the scoresheet.
