Warriors Outrun Racers with Big Second Half in Comeback Win

LIMA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team picked up their second straight conference win on Wednesday afternoon, posting a big 4-1 road win over the University of Northwestern Ohio.

The Warriors came into the game off the heels of a 5-0 victory over Rochester University last Saturday, as goals have been coming quick and fast recently. Against the Racers, the Orange & Black would trail first, after Jovaunn Ramos of UNOH hit a screamer into the top corner from 25 yards out. Tech would not be deterred however as Luke Jones would equalize five minutes later on a pass from Douglas Appiah Kubi. With the score all square at one at halftime, the Warriors came out on fire. Jones scored his second goal of the game just 54 seconds after the halftime whistle. The Warriors would strike again late with two goals, just one minute and four seconds apart, in the 83rd and 84th minutes. Warren Moss and Ryan Steele would both pick up their first goals of the season to bury the Racers, as Kodai Kobayashi and David Ambaek picked up assists. David Martinez made two saves for the Warriors in the win.

Indiana Tech moves to 2-0-2 in conference play and 3-3-4 on the season. The Warriors will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to play Cornerstone University on Saturday, October 7th at 4:30pm.
