FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team faced heartbreak in their game on Wednesday evening against the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH), giving up two goals in the final minutes as they fell 2-0.
 
The Warriors played a competitive game against the Racers in one of their best showings of the season. Despite being outshot in the game, Tech had many good spells of possession and attacking play. Cassie Palazzolo had two shots to lead the Warriors, helping to create a number of chances on offense. Michaela Bitle denied the Racers time and time again, making ten saves in the contest and holding a shutout for 85 minutes. The Tech goalkeeper was finally beaten on a cross into the box and a headed finish with just under five minutes to go. The Racers would go on to add a second goal in the final two minutes of the game following a set piece situation to sink the Warriors hopes of a tie.
 
The devastating loss drops the Warriors to 0-3-1 in WHAC play and 2-7-1 overall. The Warriors will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, October 7^th to play Cornerstone University at 2:30pm.
