FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's track teams have released their schedule for the 2023-24 indoor season.
Head Coach Doug Edgar enters his 14
th season leading the Warriors and his 16
th overall with the program, after starting out as an assistant for his first two years. Last indoor season, both the men's and women's teams would walk away with WHAC Championships, a common occurrence under Edgar's tenure. The men's side won the WHAC for the 11
th straight season, while the women won their 12
th WHAC title in the last 13 seasons. At the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, the men would finish 17
th, which was the first time not finishing in the top four after ten straight years. However, last season's indoor season would be highlighted by the women of Indiana Tech's track & field program, as they won their third straight indoor NAIA National Championship! The men's side saw 22 All-WHAC selections, 14 Warriors WHAC All-Academic Team members, eight NAIA All-Americans, and nine NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The women's side had 28 All-WHAC selections, 19 WHAC All-Academic Team members, 20 NAIA All-Americas, and ten NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Coach Doug Edgar was also named both the WHAC and NAIA Coach of the Year.
Tech will start the 2023-24 campaign with two road meets, hosted by Notre Dame on December 1
st and Purdue Fort Wayne on December 2
nd. On December 8
th, the Orange & Black will host the Warrior Open in one of two home meets this season. Tech will travel to Allendale, Michigan three times this season on January 13
th, 26
th, and February 9
th for meets hosted by Grand Valley State. The Warriors will host the Indiana Tech Invite on January 19
th. Tech will also travel to Indianapolis, Indiana twice this season for meets hosted by IUPUI and Marian on January 27
th and February 9
th, while also participating in a second meet on February 3
rd in South Bend, Indiana hosted by Notre Dame. Tech will wrap up their indoor season with the WHAC Championships on February 16
th and 17
th and the NAIA National Championships on February 29
th to March 2
nd.
