Cam Fewster, and
Jada Pope were named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Noah Redmon was named the WHAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after he pitched a complete game shutout in a win against Defiance last week, throwing 8 strikeouts and allowing just three hits. In two Warrior wins,
Carlye Walter went 6 for 8 with a walk at the plate, recording 9 RBIs and scoring 4 runs to earn herself the WHAC Softball Player of the Week. She would hit 2 doubles, a triple, and 2 home runs in the doubleheader against Cleary, including a walk-off grand slam in extra innings to secure the 2-seed for the upcoming WHAC Tournament.
Cam Fewster continued his dominant form this season over into both games last week adding 6 points against (RV) Michigan-Dearborn and 8 points against #1 Madonna to earn back-to-back WHAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors. The nation's leading point scorer added to his tally with 14 more last week on 9 goals and 5 assists, while also adding 2 ground balls and 1 caused turnover.
Jada Pope led the Warriors to two wins last week, recording 12 points from 5 goals and 7 assists to earn WHAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors. She also grabbed 4 ground balls and caused 3 turnovers.
Conference player of the week awards are released every Monday throughout the school year.
