FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech Athletic Department hosted their annual Student Athlete Awards Banquet on Monday evening to honor all of the amazing accomplishments of the Indiana Tech student athletes during the 2025-26 school year.
The night started by recognizing the WHAC Champion teams from this year, followed by recognizing all of this year's scholarship winners, each team's Ultimate Warrior, and the members of Chi Alpha Sigma. Then came the awards. The categories included Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Moment of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Warrior Whackies, Hayashi Award, and finally the Tech Trailblazer Awards. The nominees and winners for each award were as follows (winners in bold).
Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Highest senior GPA combined with great athletic achievement.

Newcomer of the Year: Outstanding new freshman or transfer athlete to Tech

Moment of the Year: Most outstanding moment
Nominees:
- Men's Soccer – Clinches 7th straight WHAC Conference Championship at Madonna.
- Men's Track & Field – 4 guys make the finals, making up half the field, and collecting 15 team points that lead them to a 3rd place finish at the National Indoor Championship.
- Men's Wrestling – Senior Jonthan Kervin claims the 165lb NAIA National Championship, a revenge match from 2025, his second National Championship at Indiana Tech. Jonathan is 3-time national finalist and 3 time All-American.
- Women's Cross Country – Freshman Bronwyn Nel wins the WHAC Conference Championship. 3rd female in school history to complete the feat, the last champion was in 2016.
- Women's Hockey – 4-3 win over #7 Adrian in the CCWHA Tournament semifinals. First time Adrian has been knocked out of the conference tournament in over a decade. Lifted them to our first championship birth in the newly formatted CCWHA Tournament and 4th championship appearance in the last 5 years.
- Women's Volleyball – 2nd round of the WHAC Tournament. Down 10-13 in the 5th set, Libero Emi Wood tells Coach Fishman to challenge a net touch. Challenge is confirmed flipping the score to 11-12 to then send Tech on 4-1 scoring run, finishing the match 15-13 send them to the WHAC Tournament Semifinals.
