ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech Warriors traveled to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where they controlled the paint to beat Concordia University (14-10) 58-48 on Saturday at Cardinal Fieldhouse. Tech moves to 20-4 on the season and 14-2 in conference play.
The Warriors outscored the Cardinals in the paint by 34-14, representing the game's biggest difference. The duo of
Erika Foy and
Bethany Worm were key to Tech's advantage in the paint. Foy registered 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Worm added 6 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds, 3 of them on the offensive side of the court.
Genevieve Decker scored 15 points for the Warriors, shooting 62% from the field and finishing the game with a perfect performance from the free throw line. Five for five.
Together, Foy and Decker scored half of the Warriors' points in the game and led the team to the win on the road.
Kyra Whitaker added 10 points (5 in the last quarter) and had 2 rebounds.
After losing against Siena Heights on Wednesday, Indiana Tech found the victory's rail again in Ann Arbor. The team now prepare to face Rochester University next Wednesday in the Schaefer Center.
