No. 6 Indiana Tech Beats Aquinas and Increases its Winning Streak to 8 Games

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Indiana Tech's collective game prevails against Aquinas, and the Warriors win by 80-74 on Saturday at Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
The Warriors' collective game once again lead Indiana Tech to the win. A plot that has become more common each time this team enters the court this season. Against Aquinas, all starters finished the game with 9 or more points in a team effort to beat an inspired Gabe Overway, who led Aquinas with a career-high 32 points.
 
Rog Stein led Indiana Tech offensively, scoring 21 points and shooting 50% from the field. Josh Kline scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, shooting 66% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. Grant Smith added 14 points for the Warriors and distributed 5 assists, shooting 60% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. The well-known Indiana Tech efficiency could be noted at the free throw line against Aquinas. Of the 7 players that shot free throws, 6 had 100% accuracy on the stat.
 
In a tight game, neither of the teams could open an advantage bigger than 10 points on the scoreboard. Indiana Tech had to keep control after taking the lead at the end of the first half finishing the period with a 41-37 lead. In the second half, the Warriors administered the advantage on the score to finish the game with an 80-74 win on the road.
 
With the win, Indiana Tech (23-4) increases its winning streak to 8 games and keeps the first position in the conference. The Warriors' next challenge is in the Schaefer center next Wednesday against the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
