CHICAGO, Ill. – On Tuesday night, the Indiana Tech men's volleyball team traveled to Chicago, Illinois, to take on Saint Xavier University. The Cougars (7-1) started hot with an attacking percentage of .364 and .375 in the first two sets, taking them with scores of 25-18 and 25-21. Tech bounced back in set three with a 25-21 win to force a fourth set, where Saint Xavier went on to win 25-23. Tech posted a .208 attacking percentage on the night compared to the Cougars' .305.
Ryan Griffel led tech's attack with 12 of the Orange and Black's 43 kills.
Brandon Jones recorded 32 assists on the night, while
Dante Siracusa served Tech's lone ace on the evening.
Raekwon Rogers had a game-high 4 blocks on the defensive side, and
Daynte Stewart led Tech in digs with 10.
Tech moves to 4-6 on the season and 3-1 in conference play as they prepare for their next match at new WHAC member Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Tech goes up against the Pomeroys on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18, at 7 and 3 PM.
