FORT WAYNE, Ind. – the No. 6 ranked Indiana Tech men's basketball team beat Lourdes University 90-79 in the Schaefer Center on Saturday in a game dedicated to honoring seniors Josh Kline, Rog Stein, Grant Smith, Cory McKinney, Lucas Lehrman, Jeremy Davidson, Tyler Canfield, Jeremy Luciani, and Jack Luciani.
 
With the spotlight already on seniors, their performances lived up to it. Kline scored 21 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, shooting 83% from the field and averaging 1 point per minute in his 21 minutes of action. Stein added 10 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 50% from the field. McKinney scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds shooting 50% from the field. Lehrman added 10 points and 5 rebounds, shooting 60% from the field, while Smith scored 8 points and got 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
 
In the game between the 2022/23 WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) regular season champions and the runners-up, the champions left the court with the win in a close game that had Indiana Tech being stronger in the paint outscoring the opponent 52-36, while Lourdes fired back from the 3-point line scoring 24 points from the long-range, against 12 from the Warriors.
 
Now, both teams focus on the WHAC Tournament. Tech and Lourdes will host their first-round matchups as they finished first and second in the conference.
