WESTFIELD, Ind. – The Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Westfield, Indiana Wednesday morning to play host at Grand Park to take on the Saint Ambrose University Fighting Bees. Indiana Tech bounced back from their loss against Rockhurst University, to smother the Bees 27-5.
A large scoring first quarter set the pace for the Warriors, who scored 10 goals in the first 15-minute regulation. The Warriors outscored Saint Ambrose in every quarter but had a relaxed second quarter to taunt the Bees into retaliating for a more offensive approach. The Bees scored first in the 2nd but were answered immediately from an
Aran Heath man-up goal, assisted by
Josh Bramley.
With a 14-3 lead at half, there wasn't much that Ambrose did correctly on the defensive side to put an end to the Tech scoring frenzy. Saint Ambrose tallied only 16 shots in the entire contest and 43 turnovers. The Bees were also 0/3 in extra man opportunities due to the defensive communication and organization of the Warriors.

Aran Heath (6 points) &
Devin Macomber (5 points) tallied 5 goals and 4 goals respectively.
Nate Langille (6 points) recorded 3 goals and 3 assists on the day and
Emmett Coleman (5 points) had 1 goal and 4 assists. Tom Pitrowski (4 CTs) and
Avery Smith (3 CTs) led with caused turnovers for the game with a combined 7. Coleman also led the Warriors with 7 ground balls.
Kyle TwoBulls played 45:00 of the contest and recorded 3 goals against, 1 save, and picked up the win for the Warriors in the cage.
Sam Siebert also goal-tended for 15:00, recording 2 goals against & 3 saves.
Face-offs were crucial for the Warriors, as they overtook the Bees 19-14 and were 6/12 in extra man opportunities. The Warriors also had 20 assists and 7 unassisted goals along with 60 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers, & were 43/67 with shots on goal.
Indiana Tech is now 2-1 overall and awaits their NAIA top 5-Ranked matchups with No. 3-Ranked Keiser University and No. 1-Ranked Reinhardt University. The Warriors will travel to Waleska, Georgia to take on both sides March 4th (Keiser) & 5th (Reinhardt).
