MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team traveled to Mishawaka, Indiana, to take on the Pilots of Bethel University for the second time in four days. The Orange and Black once again proved too much for Bethel as they made their trip back to Fort Wayne with a 3-0 win. Tech improves to 9-6 overall and 8-1 in WHAC play.
After a back-and-forth first set, Tech went on a 4-0 run to close out the match and win 25-22. Tech jumped to a 2-0 lead in set two before Bethel tied it 2-2. From that point on, the Warriors led the remainder of the night, winning set two 25-16 and set three 25-12.
Daynte Stewart had an impressive night on the attack, recording 16 of the Warrior's 36 kills. The Warriors served up an incredible 13 aces in the match, with
Ryan Griffel leading the way with 5, followed by
Mason Milan with 4.
Brandon Jones recorded 29 of Tech's 32 assists.
Logan Gamero led the team in blocks with 2, and
Joey Hermes posted 8 of the Warrior's 24 digs.
Tech continues its two-game road stretch at Trine University on February 28, with the first serve set for 7:00 PM.
