FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech Warriors hosted Rochester University on Wednesday in the Schaefer center, where they shot 60% from the 3-point line on their way to beating Rochester 69-45.

Taylor Covington commanded the Warriors' attack, damaging the Rochester defense with long-range shots. Covington finished the game with 15 points, all of them scored from long distance, while Whitaker left the court with 18 points (15 from the 3-point line) and 5 assists.
Erika Foy added 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, annotating her 11
th double-double of the season.
The Warriors started the game with an 8-0 run that set the pace for the first quarter, a period that the Warriors won by 17-8. The difference was even bigger in the second quarter, with Indiana Tech outscoring Rochester University 24-7 and finishing the first half with a 41-15 advantage on the scoreboard.
Rochester came with a different attitude for the second half, increasing the intensity and pressing high. This change made the game more balanced, but more was needed to catch the 26-point lead built by the Warriors in the first half.
Indiana Tech, ranked #16 on NAIA, improved to a 21-4 record, and the next challenge is against Aquinas College Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
