FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team was dominant in an 85-58 win against Rochester University on Wednesday night in the Schaefer Center, relying on three pillars: efficiency, force on the paint, and squad depth.
The Warriors ranked #6 in the NAIA, have been a consistent team throughout the entire season, and showed it one more time against Rochester. Shooting 58.6% from the field and 62.5% from the 3-point line, the team did not give any chance to a Rochester team that shot 32.2% from the field and 34.4% from the 3-point line.
Rog Stein, Indiana Tech top scorer in the game, portrayed the team's efficiency, with 100% accuracy from the field and 2 free throws made in 3 attempts to score his 14 points.
The second pillar of the Warrior's game was in the painted area. Indiana Tech outscored Rochester 50-12, a 38-point difference that impacted the game's final score. Another stat that shows the Warriors' superiority on the paint is the number of rebounds: Indiana Tech 44-31 Rochester.
