Warriors Take 1 of 3 Against OKC University

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The No. 22 ranked Indiana Tech baseball team traveled to Oklahoma on Friday to start their spring break with a three-game series with evenly ranked No. 22 Oklahoma City University. The Warriors dropped both games in the double-header on Saturday with scores of 1-2 in game one and 2-10 in game two but battled back for a 7-1 victory in game three on Sunday. The Orange and Black now move to 10-3 on the season.
 
Parker Bates and Brice Stultz led the Warriors' offense in game one, both going 1 for 3 at the plate, with Stultz being the Warriors' lone run and Bates recording the only RBI in the game.  Zach Zaborowski got the start for Tech throwing 6.2 innings while allowing 9 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 5.
 
Jayden Reed and Christian Mojica went 1 for 5 and 1 for 4 at the plate, respectively, scoring the two runs for Tech, while Stultz and Trevor Patterson recorded an RBI apiece. Coley Stevens, Marty McDonald, and Kade Robinson shared time on the mound, with Stevens getting the start as he threw 2.0 innings and gave up 5 hits and 5 earned runs while striking out 3. McDonald and Robinson went 3.0 innings a piece, giving up 3 and 2 runs, respectively.
 
In game three, the Warriors' offense came alive, with Reed going 3-5 at the plate with 1 run and 1 RBI. Jacob Daftari went 1-3, scoring 2 runs, and Tyler Stahl recorded 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 2 RBIs. Bates went 1-4 with 3 RBIs. Ryan Troxel went the distance on the bump allowing 7 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 12 of the 36 batters faced.
 
The Orange and Black take on Mid-American Christian University (Okla.) in their next game on Tuesday. The single nine-inning game will start at 1 PM Central.
