FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's volleyball team look to bring home the conference double after their 3-1 win over the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils on Friday night in the Shaefer Center sends them to the conference tournament final game.
The Warriors were led by
Daynte Stewart, who recorded an impressive 15 kills and 2 aces in the match.
Mason Milan and
Ryan Griffel also contributed to the Warriors' offensive efforts, with 9 and 8 kills, respectively.
Indiana Tech's defense was equally impressive, with
Raekwon Rogers,
Peter Demoulin, and
Daynte Stewart each recording 8.0, 7.0, and 5.0 blocks, respectively. The Warriors also had a strong showing in the assists department, with
Brandon Jones recording 36 assists and
Joey Hermes and
Clayton Wheatley contributing 2 and 1 assists, respectively.
On the defensive end,
Joey Hermes led the Warriors with 9 digs, while
Jacob Carrico and
Brandon Jones recorded 8 digs each.
The Indiana Tech Warriors will now advance to the finals of the WHAC Tournament, where they will face off against the winner of Lourdes and Cornerstone. The final is set to start at 1:00 PM in the Schaefer Center.
