INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana Saturday morning for a conference matchup with Marian University, falling in a tight one 13-12.
Tech got the scoring started with goals from
Halli Reinhard and
Faith Donally to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead. Marian would answer with two goals to tie the game, before
Cece Mason and Donally would score later in the quarter, as Tech would lead 4-3 after one. The Knights would score four straight to open the second quarter, while Mason and
Brooke Buhr would score to end the half as Tech would trail 6-7. The second half continued to go back and forth with Mason scoring her third goal of the game in the fourth quarter to knot the game at 10-10. However, the Knights would go on to win the game by a final of 13-12. Mason, Reinhard, and Donally all finished with hattricks in the game, while Buhr added three assists.
Sydney Oberdorfer led the Warriors with six ground balls and two caused turnovers, while also making 15 saves in the loss.
Abbey Wilson and
Da'zah Regusters each had six draw controls for the Warriors.
With the loss, the Warriors fall to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Indiana Tech will play next on Monday, Saturday, April 2
nd at 1 pm at home.
