ADRIAN, Mich. – On Wednesday night, the Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team earned its fourth top ten victory of the season. The No. 5 ranked Warriors defeated the No. 7 ranked Siena Heights University Saints in a road conference contest. It was a big game, not only for national rankings, but also for conference seeding. The Warriors now move into second place in the WHAC at 4-1 with three games left to play in the regular season. Tech is now 10-3 overall this season.
The game started off tight with both teams yearning to strike first as the game remained scoreless through the first quarter of play. Indiana Tech would take over in the second. The Warriors would score the first three goals of the game before the Saints would counter with three straight to tie the game at three. However, Tech would outscore Siena Heights 9-1 throughout the rest of the quarter, thanks to
Samuel Bodley's hat-trick. The second half continued to show a dominant Warrior side, as Tech would outscore Siena 8-4 in the second half and go on to win by a final of 20-8.
Nate Langille led the Warriors with five goals and six assists for 11 total points on the day.
Josh Bramley also scored a hat-trick of goals for the Warriors and had one assist, while
Sam Anderson led the team with five ground balls and
Tom Piotrowski led the team with three caused turnovers.
Kyle TwoBulls picked up the win in goal for Indiana Tech, making 11 saves.
Sam Siebert also made two saves for the Warriors over the last eight minutes of action.
On Saturday, April 15
th at 7 pm, Indiana Tech will play the WHAC's third place team, Madonna University (Mich.), on senior night as they wrap up their regular season home slate.
