Warriors Men’s Lacrosse Use Big Fourth Quarter to Get Past Blue Devils

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team faced off against Lawrence Tech University on Wednesday night in a WHAC contest with the Warriors defeating the Blue Devils 23-16. With the score tied midway through the third, Tech used a big fourth quarter to get past a resilient LTU side.

The Warriors would jump out to a quick 5-0 start in under six minutes of play before Lawrence Tech would get on the board. Indiana Tech would lead 7-2 after the first with Devin Macomber picking up a hat-trick in the quarter. The Blue Devils would take over in the second quarter scoring seven of the next eight goals to take their first lead at 8-9. Samuel Bodley would score two goals and assist one to end the half and give the 11-9 lead back to Tech. Both teams continued to pile on the goals in the third with Tech taking a 16-13 advantage to the fourth. The Warriors and Nate Langille's hat-trick would extinguish the Blue Devils hopes at an upset with a seven goal fourth quarter as the Indiana Tech would prevail in this one 23-16.

Khanan Bodley led the Warriors in points with seven and goals with five. Josh Bramley ended the day with six points from three goals and a team high three assists. Tristan McKneely was all over the Blue Devils, winning 17 faceoffs on the day and picking up a Warrior team season high 12 ground balls. Sam Anderson led the defensive efforts for Tech causing three turnovers in the game and snatching five ground balls, while Kyle TwoBulls made 12 saves in his 12th win of the season.

The Warriors will head to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, April 22nd for their regular season finale against Aquinas College at 1 pm.
