Warriors lose 6-1 to Cornerstone as Historical Unbeaten Run Comes to an End

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Warrior's historical 1439 days unbeaten streak in WHAC games came to an end on Saturday at Wildwood Racquet Club. In a duel for the first position in the WHAC, the Warriors lost 6-1 to (RV) Cornerstone, saw the opponent's open advantage on the WHAC standings, and the historical 3 years and 11 months unbeaten streak ended.

Cornerstone made history twice: finishing Indiana Tech's unbeaten streak and registering the school's first win against an NAIA Top-25 opponent.

In the doubles, each side won one of the matches played, with Criss Echavarria and Ana Gomez winning the 2nd doubles match for the Warriors. Unfortunately, Indiana Tech lost the doubles point, with Cornerstone winning the 3rd doubles match by default.

Criss Echavarria scored the Warriors's single point in the game, the 3rd singles match, but Cornerstone would win all the other singles to finish the match with a 6-1 on the scoreboard.

The Warriors do not have time to lament, with the next game going to be played tomorrow (April 2) against (RV) Marian University in Indianapolis.
