Men’s Lacrosse Wins Fourth Straight WHAC Tournament Title

Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The NAIA No. 5 ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team got its revenge on NAIA No. 4 ranked Concordia University Saturday afternoon on their way to their fourth straight WHAC Tournament title. The Warriors were defeated 11-12 when these two teams met earlier this year on March 25th and would finish second in the WHAC regular season behind the Cardinals, but Tech would get its revenge with a 15-7 road victory over the Cardinals in the conference tournament championship game.

The Warriors took the early lead after goals from Samuel Bodley and Josh Bramley. The Cardinals would tie the game at two, but Cooper Langille would get the lead back for Tech to end the first quarter. The Warriors would outscore the Cardinals 3-1 in the second quarter and would score the first four goals of the third to build their lead up to seven. Concordia would get a couple goals back, but Tech would again dominate the fourth, winning the quarter 5-2. The Warriors would win it by a final of 15-7 behind Bodley's game high five goals, and Bramley's four. The win earns Indiana Tech, their fourth straight WHAC Tournament Championship. Nate Langille had a team high three assists, while Emmett Coleman chipped in with two goals and an assist. They also led the Warriors in ground balls, with six and five respectively. Langille also caused two turnovers, along with Sam Anderson, to lead the Orange and Black. Tristan McKneely went 9-13 at the faceoff circle to help the Warriors gain control of the game. Kyle TwoBulls picked up his 15th win of the season and made 13 saves in the process.

Tech now sits at 15-3 overall and has won nine straight games. The Warriors have clinched an automatic bid to the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational on May 10-13 in Pensacola, Florida after winning the WHAC Tournament. The final NAIA Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Top 10 Poll will be announced on Sunday, April 30, which will help to determine the Warrior's overall seed and who they will face at the national tournament.
