Indianapolis – Indiana Tech visits Marian University on Sunday and falls 6-1 in an off–conference match. Marian University got the doubles point, and 5 from the 6 singles matches to guarantee the win.
The game did not start in the best way for the Warriors, with Marian University winning the doubles point. Even though
Roshne Arunkumar and
Ana Gomez won 6-4, the Warriors lost doubles games 1 and 3.
In the singles matches, Criss Echavarria won her match by 6-2 / 7-5, scoring a point for Indiana Tech in the overall score, but it was not enough for the Warriors since Marian prevailed in the other matches to finish the game with a 6-1 win.
Indiana Tech is now 5-6 in the season, and the next challenge is going to be in a conference game against Lawrence Tech next Wednesday (April 5), when the Warriors travel to Southfield, Michigan, to play.
