HOWELL, Mich. – The Indiana Tech baseball team finished their regular season over the weekend as they took on Cleary University in a four-game series on the road. The Warriors started the series with a 5-6 loss on Saturday but bounced back, winning the remaining three games 12-9, 4-0, and 4-2 in extra innings. The Orange and Black finish the regular season with a 32-15 record while going 18-12 in conference play.
The Warriors split Saturday as they dropped game one 5-6 and won game two 12-9.
Carson McNulty continued to swing a hot bat in game one as he led the offense in hits going 2 for 4 at the plate while scoring a run.
Tristan Osika led the Warriors in RBIs with three as he went 1 for 1 at the dish.
Parker Bates led the offense in game two as he went 2 for 4 with a 2-run home run and a 2-RBI triple.
Jayden Reed also had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 RBI and scored 3 runs.
Jared Gallagher got the win as he threw 4.2 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs while striking out 2.
Tech took two more on Sunday, winning 4-0 and 4-2.
Alex Watkins led the offense in game three as he hit a pair of doubles which accounted for all 4 of Tech's RBIs.
Tyler Stahl also went 2 for 3 and scored a run.
Phillip Hobbs got the win in game three giving up 5 hits in 4.1 innings pitched allowing 0 runs with 7 strikeouts.
Jacob Daftari and
Christian Mojica both had two hits in game four of the series, while Mojica led the team with 2 clutch RBIs as he hit a double in the top of the 10
th inning to score
Dalton Askew and Bates and claim victory in extra innings. Bates had another extra-base hit as he went 1 for 3 with an RBI double.
Coley Stevens earned the win in game four, throwing 4.0 innings, giving up 2 hits, and striking out 7 batters.
The Warriors now begin preparation for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament.
