FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team began their 2023 campaign taking on cross-town rivals, the University of Saint Francis, on Wednesday night at the Bishop D'Arcy Stadium. A lone goal in the 41

Tech started strong in the first half with two quick shots, requiring early action from Cougars keeper Amber Morgan. The Warriors kept the pressure on goal, firing 6 shots in the first half, and broke through in the 41

Saint Francis looked to draw one back in the second half, upping the pressure with 6 shots, but the Warrior defense, anchored by
Michaela Bitle, stood firm to earn the victory. Bitle played all 90 minutes in net for the Orange and Black, recording 3 saves and earning her first shutout of the season.
The Warriors move to 1-0 on the young season and host No. 16 Grace College (Ind.) for their home opener on Saturday, August 26, at 1:00 PM.
