Warriors Roll Past UNOH in Schaefer

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team returned to action on Wednesday evening, hosting the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers in the Schaefer Center. After overcoming a slow start in their previous game, the Warriors didn't make the same mistakes and got out to a quicker start, controlling the game from the beginning to win 96-71. Tech moves to 10-5 on the season and 8-1 in conference.

The Orange and Black struck first off a Brady Titus jumper, but the Racers responded with five unanswered points. Steve Helm knotted the game with a three, and from there, it was all Warriors, going on a 16-10 over the next ten minutes. The Warrior defense was intense down the stretch, holding the Racers to 28.2% shooting from the field, taking a 41-29 lead into the locker room. Out of the break, both teams got out in transition as the game's tempo increased. Tech continued to control the game, with Steele Brasfield, Lucas Lyyski, and Brady Titus leading the way with 13, 11, and 11 second-half points as the Warriors pulled away to win 96-71.

Lyyski led the Warriors with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist. Brady Titus had 17 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists. Steele Brasfiled scored 13 points and contributed 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Max Perez was also in double-figures with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, as they hit the road for the first of their three-game road stretch at Concordia University (Mich.) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tip-off against the Cardinals is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
